oooo I have a follower!!!

Just wanted to say welcome to my very very first (and there will only ever be 1 first!!!) follower!  :)  Going to take some pics later of other things I've been working on and haven't finished yet....and there are a lot.  I seemed to get sidetracked halfway through a project and it gets put off to the side, I can think of at least 4 things that are waiting to be finished....and I'll probably find more when I take those ones out.  Be back in a bit.

Artsy Addicts 'Micro Mini' challenge

Here is my micro mini, my very first micro mini.  It measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/4".  I used one of my Spellbinders dies to cut the (recycled, yay me!) cardboard pages.  I then decided I wanted every other set of pages to be raw, so I peeled off the paper to show the corrugation.  ( A little method Arlene at MyButterflyKisses showed on YouTube).  I wanted to keep those pages more or less simple only adding on a few quotes that I LOVE and I'm hoping will give me some inspiration when I'm stuck in a rut.  On the covered pages, I used Basic Grey's 'Out of Print' (lloooovveee it) paper.  I will add pictures of my 4 boys on them and keep this mini at my workstation at all times.  I will try and do my first video tomorrow when my house is quiet.  Although I am soooo nervous about  doing a video.

My First Day as a blogger

Hello all....

I am so totally new to this and I really have no idea what I am doing so please be patient with me.  I have started blogging....finally....to keep up with the Joneses.  No, really, there are so many of you out there in the crafting world and in the facebook group Artsy Addicts that I had to be just like you!  ;)

I love creating...whether it be a card, a mini album, a page, an altered project or any number of a million things. I have found a huge community of people, like me, on YouTube.  That is how I found Artsy Addicts to be honest.  Everyone of the videos I watch inspire me in some way or another, now I just have to start sharing what I do.  I don't really have the confidence to do that but I'm hoping that will change.  I just keep saying my mantra over and over again 'there is no wrong way in creating'.

That out of the way....my name is Heidi.  I live in total chaos most of the time...hence the 'Creative Mess'.  I seem to make more mess than I do creations, but it's a mess I love and feel at home in!  I have 4 sons.  Casey, my oldest will be 13 in November.  He has autism and I learn something new from him everyday.  He doesn't share my love for creating even though he's good at it.  He prefers sitting with a book and learning about times gone past.  Curtis is 11 and does share my love.  If he sees me sitting in my 'mess' he has to get stuck in as well.  I think one day he will out do me and make me feel inadequate!  Alex is 6 and a little 'know it all'.  He loves to dabble in the crafty stuff but he prefers playing on  the xbox 360.  And then  there is Sam, my baby.  He's 4 and because he loves everyone he does a little bit of everything to be with each of us at some point or another. I love watching him 'create' the most.  His mind has no boundaries and I feel I maybe have a lot to learn from him.

I hope I can try and keep up with this.  I'm always working on or altering something.  Thanks for reading....

oh and I'll take criticism if it's good criticism and it will 'help' me, otherwise, if you have nothing nice to say....then don't say it.  :)
